Changing the information in a marker

I would like to change the information within a marker without using
APIs. Can this be done?

Example:
http://www.google.com/maps?q=25.809937,-80.348736&t=k&iwloc=A&hl=en

I want to change the marker info so instead of displaying the
coordinates, it will display "This is the back door of the EOC."

Can that be done without APIs?
