[Gmail-Users] Eliminating kazillions of spam emails

My spam folder, the folder gmail automatically throws spam into, has
thousands of emails in it.

I don't want to read any of them.

If I try to delete them, I can only delete a "page" at a time.

I can't seem to find a way to "mark" them all and delete them all in
one fell swoop.

Is this possible and if so, how?
