I can't disable News Alerts

I have disabled the Advanced Features at the preferences but the news
alerts still coming. I have blocked with firewall
googledesktopsetup.exe
googledesktopdisplay.exe

I can't stop this feature. Is there a way to do that?
I have kerio firewall.
