One would think that google will proceed cautiously with placing ads
directly on API maps as this is a bit akin to placing ads in the middle
of a webpage. A practice Google has been instrumental in discouraging
(instead incouraging the unobtrusive plain text model). I would expect
that should, for example, 20 advertising markers suddenly appear on API
maps, this would have a chilling effect on use of the API. Leveraging
API use without chilling its use poses an interesting challenge for Google.
