I would suggest you go to START > CONTROL PANEL > ADD REMOVE PROGRAMS
and select Google Desktop and remove it. If you feel you have a
GoogleDesktop .exe file somewhere else, go to START and search all
folders for a file by that name and delete it. Then there should not be
any way that Desktop can run.
