Re: XML, IE and french characters

Hi Larry,

This is what I have in the asp page that is creating the xml file:
<%Response.contentType="xml version=1.0;text/xml;charset=ISO-8859-1"%>

As it stands right now if I look at my file in FF the french characters
are displaying as they should. Originally the asp code only had
<%Response.contentType="text/xml"%> and I was geting the strange
character replacement. Since I changes the conentType the french
characters display just fine when viewing the file in FF so I assumed
that IE was reading it the same way but according to your post it's
not.

I tried to add the standalone item but it still does not work.

Not really sure how to fix it.
