You could forward all mails that are labeled (with a filter) to a
second GMail account and use POP3 to access this account.
Unfortunately this solution will not work for mails that you manually
label as "Special Project", only for mails that are filtered upon
receipt, labeled and then have a copy forwarded to the second GMail
account.
