Now that I think about it -- QI is a linear lookup in a table not
longer than a dozen items (the IIDs, am I correct?). You're probably
right about not having to cache it.

I'm using the plugin helper; at least for now. I don't think there's
any way to implement only one method of IObjectWithSite. I could
probably implement IObjectWithSite, where all methods except for
SetSite are stubs to the plugin helper. (In fact, this gives me an idea
for another issue I'm facing right now.) I say "at least for now"
because it seems like my needs will soon exceed what the plugin helper
can provide.

You asked what plugin I'm creating. I call it "Desktop Netstat" and
it's exactly that. I have many ideas for features, but it's my first
plugin and things are going somewhat slowly for now. Here's a
