well all are window managers...
gnome is developed using gtk..
kde is developed in C++.. well i think QT (troltech) is used.. don know
exactly..
don know abt xwin.. never used it..

all the three vary depending on their ease of use and festures, and the
system resources used by each of them.. gnome and kde use loads of
system resources..(RAM)

well that is it..
