Call your sitemaps sitemap1-6, and just submit the correct one per
domain. Did you also make sure to have your server answer to both
www.page.net and page.net ? that way you could double the number of
pages once more -- put up 12 sitemap files for the same set of content.

However, don't you think it's a bit senseless? It's your call, play it
how you like. ;-)
