What happens is you go through a google server proxy.
The Pages are stored, compressed, on the google server, and when you
ask for it it downloads it.
Also, if the page changed since you last seen it, it only downlods the
chnages.
Thirdly, the GWA downloads the next-level links, including the first
google result if you search.
