The Reasons behind uploading Google Videos
Like most things Google Deploys, there is really never a hand book of
why! and like most people I LOVE GOOGLE and pretty much all the NEW
STUFF they come out with. But their Video Concept was like a 9th
grader, WON an award to write the specs on the rhyme and reasons behind
the video.google.com
I believe Google themselves doesn't know anything about creating a
video database, unlike their stealty website and image search engine,
so I guess they are doing the impossible creating a video database of
stupid home videos, and then will learn by their mistakes like a 9th
grader would. Come--on!!!
Wouldn't you think, they would create partnerships with NON-BROADCAST
TV NETWORKS of content. TV content, is already available on DVD or an
IPOD and home videos can be found on any other website.
Here is a HINT for some good content.........
Call Kaiser in Oakland, CA, and they could use the help of Google by
allowing people to access their incedible video liabary. I am sure they
could use some more advertising
in return of licensing the content.
Let me also make my comments regarding "Uploading Videos" as I cross
reference the
https://upload.video.google.com/video_faq.html#overview2 page
1.Google
We can't guarantee that all videos will be included in Google Video,The
content may be reviewed prior to being made available online
1. 3g2html
Then tell us what you want
2.Google
You can add your URL and other information to your video via your Video
Status page in your account
2. 3g2html
How about a way, the user can embed code into their website that allow
video to play inside the HTML, of course, Google can brand the player,
so they get traffic back
3. Google
Submitting Transcripts page
3. 3g2html
LOL, Are you serious!......How about Google invest about $24,000 and
buy the Audio Mining Software from L&H that does this for you.
4. Google
(Geeks call this metadata).
4. 3g2html
If your calling us a Geek?, then there must be some NERD, that doesn't
understand that there should be selected phrases in a drop down menu to
add metadata, that then creates the XML
5. Google
Here are our preferred video specs:
a.NTSC (4:3) size and framerate, deinterlaced
b.Video Codec: MPEG2 or MPEG4 (MPEG4 preferred)
c.Video Bitrate: at least 260Kbps (750kbps preferred)
d.Audio Codec: MP3 vbr
e.Audio Bitrate: at least 70Kbps (128 Kbps preferred)
5. 3g2html
Which NERD came up with this?
a. Like anyone besides myself, know what this means..Plus its not a
complete tech sentence
b. These are codec's these are formats and MPEG4 has about over 100
codec possibilities
c. 260kps is alright, if Google plays back the video at 240x180, but it
just autosizes to GRADNE'
d. Once again a MP3, is a format, with lost of codecs to choose from
http://www.free-codecs.com/Audio_Codecs.htm
e. no comment, because i reserve this section to say, who is
responsible for all the specs above?????
6. Google
The video must be in a format we accept; see question 5 above
6. 3g2html
Can you be a little more technical in technical req section
7. Google
You can upload as many videos to Google Video
7. 3g2html
Thats if you can wait 1-2 weeks for approval
8. Google
All my videos are on physical media such as VHS, Beta or DVD. Can I
mail you my videos?
8. 3g2html
Since Google doesn't offer this service, then send me you videos, or at
least provide a tutorial on how
a user can rip a VOB from a DVD
9. Google
Can I remove my videos after I upload them??
9. 3g2html
I would think so, its easier then all the C/D letters that google
already gets
http://www.chillingeffects.org/search.cgi?search=google
10. Google
You can name any price for your video?
10. 3g2html
How about user can choose which video ads appear in their videos, can
create a profit sharing model
11. Google
What does Google do with the personal information I submit when I
create an account?
11. 3g2html
They send it to Bill Gates and Home Land Security......Sorry for the
sarcasm, but this Q/A IS THE WORST I EVER READ......
