Thrown in The Trash!

Ok the title is a little harsh but I am getting extremely frustrated
(here is my lame story)

1.) I didn't have time to blog last Feb. so I decided to delete all
pages and start over.
2.) I few days or weeks (can't remember) after I added 10 articles on
soil to the site for safe keeping and for folks to find and use if they
like.
3.) Since last Feb. I do not get any visits from google other than a
few pages I dug out of the google cache in desperation and put back on
my site. :-(
4.) The two pages from the old site are on page #1 in google for what
they are about.
5.) ALL new pages I do not get any traffic at all, they are treated
like trash.
6.) I know Google loved me at one time because all that I did turned to
gold.
7.) I know that people loved what I write about because they linked to
my site and am currently my only traffic.
8.) So is it against the rules to start over? Does google have any way
of repairing this or should I just shut the site down and quit?

I just don't know what the heck to do honesty and because I am not a
quiter I keep hacking around on the site trying to do something that
will make it shine again. I am more likely screwing it up more...

If anyone has anything on what to do please feel free to tell me what I
am doing wrong.
