Can this be Done, or am I just Dreaming?

Hi Everyone, I'm really new to Google Earth, but I do have a question.
I live in a very flat area (Chicgoland), and would like to locate
Topograghical Changes in Elevation. However, the differences in
Elevations around here are not showing up well at all when I tilt the
Google Earth Map over. Is there a way to exagerate the Elevations so
they show up more easily? My thanks for any help you can give me.
