[Gmail-Users] About G-Mail Drive

Hello,
I have just downloaded and installed GMail Drive by Bjarke Viksoe
Version 1.0.9.
Is it safe to use such programs for saving files on the G-Mail account?
How do I believe that the username and password supplied by me are not
mis-used by the software and the software does not send it to anybody?
After uploading the file, I have got mail with attachment of that
file.This can be done by any software. How do I make sure that the
program has some technical co-ordination with G-Mail?
Any suggestions? Any experiences.
