I have come across some friends and other people whose companies have
blocked web access to Gmail, and it is a company-wide policy. I guess
higher-ups hear about how Gmail is different and for some people
different is something they dont know and dont trust. I guess its a
paranoia of anything different. Some people have been able to gain
access thru POP but others have not. I guess it depends on individual
companies as to how tightly have they blocked the access.
Sometimes I wonder if this is illegal for companies to do that.
