Fedora 4 or the Fedora 5 Test 1??

If 5 use 4 (no really don't use Fedora 5 yet).

If 4, need more input.
What does the installer say about your hardware??
It tries to detect your Monitor graphics card and mouse right before
it starts X.

Did you try a diskcheck?? Sounds like a faulty disk to me.
