API version 2 provides a GDownloadUrl() function that does all the
GXmlHttp() stuff for you. You just create a function that knows what to
do with the CSV or plain text data when the request completes.
GDownloadUrl("filename.csv", process_the_file);
Here's some information and an example that uses "|" as a separator. I
avoided ";" so that it's possible to use things like < and é
in the contained html strings.

Oddly, there's no equivalent GDownload function for downloading XML
files.
