I both agree and disagree with you on your post. I agree that people
shouldn't panic over what's been done with v2 as it hasn't even been
officially announced yet. At this point we don't know (as you pointed
out) how they are going to introduce it to us. I believe they will do
it in a thoughtful and understanding way, as they have done a
remarkable job in creating this tool.

I too though would like to see a better line of communication open
here. The mapping team certainly doesn't need to respond or even notice
the "operation aborted" type questions, as that's what we do here.
However, it would be nice to have somewhat of an open dialog with
somebody who can be a focal point for the important stuff. I also
believe this is going to be taken care of shortly.
