It's running Joomla installed in a subdirectory. I have a 301 redirect
in htaccess in the root pointing it to the /joomla subdirectory.

I couldn't get joomla installed in / so I thought this was the best
solution. I could put a static page in / with links to /joomla if that
would help.

I have sitemap.xml in / and google found it without a problem.

in my htaccess I have /index.html pointed to /joomla
