1.) it's fixed.

2.) of they wouldn't be lost. Those messages over the past day or so
are *still* on your ISP's archives, so google should be able to easily
grab them from wherever they grab them. If it happens again, which I
suppose it might, of course they wouldn't be lost, unless google
stopped archiving them.

3.) probably there was just a disconnect between the usenet archives
vs. the webpage.
