you should be able to send mail.  click on the message that you recieved. then you click on the reply then you type at the top of the window of the message that was sent to you.  above the old message.then at the bottom you click on send

then it will send

 

if you go to contacts and click on the name of the person to write to  
that person and send

it will send other wise contact info@gmail.com
