Re: Accessing google maps without JavaScript ?

Hmm, that's unfortunate (and yes, I would prefer not to be restricted
to the US).
So can anyone tell me the score about the existing MIDlets out there
which appear to work with google maps?
I'm not sure I'm willing to believe that they have a full JS engine and
DOM tree model on them (one certainly appeared to be using a gateway of
some sort).
So, I guess my next question is whether google has any plans to offer a
server side API for the map data - or can I use JavaScript there (some
kind of virtual browser that runs on the server but 'renders' its pages
via XML to a remote client).
I would have though that people would be climbing over each other to
have a supported google maps client for MIDP.
