I think Google had a big change over the last two days. Shortly after
installig sitemaps I dropped out of the Google for "Nursing Agencies"
and "Nursing Agency" - I had been top of this search for several years.
I was cautious about making any grand changes relative to duplication
and potential keyword loading because I have a specialist site which
provides a valuable and well used service.

In the last two days I have jumped up from 115th to anywhere in the top
6 including top depending which cache store is being used. So my gut
feeling (in the absence of obvious guidance from Google was that I had
not got much to change on the site as it stood.

The biggest change was to put the 301 redirect code into the variable
pages that are identified as no longer being valid when called from a
search page.
