Interesting. I noticed those function definitions when I examine the
code earlier, since they are not the usual practice in the API code.
Usually, these kind of event handlers are coded as anonymous functions.

Those functions are only used in the immediately following function
call. They could have been coded as anonymous functions. Perhaps they
were coded this way for easier debugging.

Does you parser detect other problems?
