Re: Javascript Variables Reset When Minimized

I understand that the options object is to store variables across
sessions (my understanding of sessions being each time a user shuts
down and restarts Google Desktop), but is going from a Floating Deskbar
to a Sidebar considered two different sessions?

My issue with using the the options object is that (as far as I've
seen) there's no way to distinguish between maximizing/minimizing the
Sidebar and Google Desktop shutting down/restarting. If Google Desktop
shuts down, I want all my counters to reset to 0. If the Sidebar only
got turned into a Floating Deskbar and then back into a Sidebar, I want
my counters to keep their state.
