That will almost certainly be because you're using non-ASCII ('curly')
apostrophes, and aren't using UTF8. Normal apostrophes work fine in
descriptions, and curly ones will work as long as your feed is UTF8.

E.g.
<http://froogle.google.co.uk/froogle?q=store%3Atswlink+scoglio+mozart>
shows curly double quotes, a normal straight apostrophe and an accent on
"per pieta".
