It currently fails while attempting to check your API key, and no map is
displayed.

It looks like there's a bug in the new piece of code introduced in
maps.27a.js on sites with numeric IP addresses as the host name that are
using an incorrect key.

Instead of reporting the error 'The Google Maps API key used on this web
site was registered for a different web site. You can generate a new key
for this web site at http://www.google.com/apis/maps/' immediately it
detects a failure, it now tries to analyse the window.location.host to
see if it is something like "maps.google.com.jp" or "www.google.co.uk",
but that code crashes if window.location.host is a numeric IP address or
a ".org.uk" address or similar.
