Showing Informational window

Hello everyone,

I am trying to show search results on a left pane and the map on the
right. Simliar to
http://maps.google.com/ . I am trying to make it so that if i click on
a result that informational window on the push-pin pops up. i am
basically trying to recreate what google has done at
http://maps.google.com/ .

Does anyone know how to do this?
