freeze occurred? Are we talking about the BSOD (Blue Screen of Death)
here or just a temporary lockup?

In the event of a lockup, try waiting ten minutes. I know it sounds
ridiculous, but it has been shown to work in certain situations.

By the way, before posting about some OS involved crisis, it would
behoove you to list your specific OS and its configuration. Without it,
we are all just guessing at a solution.

In addition, backup were made just for this situation. Employ them, or
don't complain.
