[Google-Desktop] Formatting computer, How can I maintain AIM indexed files?

Hi there --- I've been searching high and low around the web for an
answer, so hopefully you guys can help out.

I'm reformatting my computer and to want to maintain *just* my AIM
coversations. I know that you can copy the entire index directory and
place it in the new location, but when I tried this on my laptop as a
test, it basically was indexing a lot of files that didn't exist. I
also wasn't able to view any AIM sessions, although the index status
recognized that a bunch of chats were indexed.

This is very important, and I'd immensely appreciate any help!
