[lug] Restarting dhcp
I've Install Ubuntu 5.10 on my PC now. But unlike other distros that I've used, I find that Ubuntu does not background the DHCP client when it does not find a DHCP server while booting up. i.e., If I turn on my cable modem AFTER the system has booted up, it does not take up the DHCP paramaters. I was under the impression that the daemon would run in the background always, as in other systems.
I heard there is a command to restart the network scan. Can anyone pleas etell me what it is?
