Re: Getting Higher on Froogle Search Results

Doesn't Froogle require your description be the same as it is on the website?  Is there a way around this?  A description I would use out of context is different from what I would use on my webpages.  For example, on a page of lotions, it would look very silly to start the item name and description with the word Lotion.  For one thing, I wrote my own shopping cart, and really don't want it to look like a primitive, canned product!  In my Froogle description I would want to mention that my product is hand made.  I would never put that in my description on my webpage, as I make everything I sell except for some accessories.  Putting hand made in every description would be redundant and look foolish.

I realize that Froogle wants honest names and descriptions, but there is a valid difference between a description where a webpage provides context vs a description that has to stand alone.

I have renamed the title and description of all my products so that the key word and most relevant word to describe the product is first and then comma seperated from the rest of the title for example: Title Coffee Table - Madison Table 2 Drawers. Description Coffee Table - Madison Table 2 Drawers hand built in mellow cinnamon fruitwood complimented with smooth gun metal handle detail. Flexible and very stylish. I am now waiting to see if this improves the placement of the listings.
