Just to clear one thing up :-)

invalid code is not a reason for Google to throw a site out. Heck, even
Google does not validate :-) (see SEO Myths:

More text is a good idea, so is cleaning up any canonical domain
issues.

However, you should really look at the site with some seo experts, not
just us "Sitemappers". There probably are some real experts lurking
around here, perhaps Sebastian can say something, but generally you
will either need to go to a speciality forum or to hire them (for
commercial projects) - if you don't want to do it yourself, contact
Sebastian through http://smart-it-consulting.com/ - he's really quick +
good.

If you want to do it yourself, do yourself a big favor and do not run
after the things we tell you here - perhaps if you follow my
newbie-advice, your site might end up worse than it is now... You
wouldn't want to ask me how to repair your car either, would you? :-)
