testing on a desktop?

Hey everyone,

I have a site www.thegreat-outdoors.com where i use a google map.  This domain/page is hosted by a hosting company.

Now however, i wish to do some testing on my desktop computer which just has apache running on it and want to test it localy (ie connect to 127.0.0.1 and view the page)

i tried registering my IP address to a site key but that did not work.

I am also on a router if that changes anything?

Anyone know how to do this?
