create markers by clicking on the map and save it to MySQL

Hi all,

I'm pretty new to the Google-Maps-Api and I'm stuck trying to realize
this: I want to integrate google Maps into my Community Site - and
every User of my Community should be able to scroll around the map - if
he finds his hometown he should be able to click on the point - label
it and *save* it into my MySQL Database.

Right now I was able to integrate Google Maps into my Framework - but
even after 2 days of reading I stillt have no clue how i could realize
the "click and save" feature for my Map.

Maybe got something similiar or got some ideas for me?
