[Google-Desktop] Re: Regenerating index in Google Desktop

You would have to uninstall and remove the google index files and then
re-install as I understand it.

Subject: [Google-Desktop] Regenerating index in Google Desktop

Hi,

Is there any way to regenerate the index ?

In my case, Google Desktop (GD) indexed some mails from my inbox. A couple
of months later, I archived those mails. Now, when I search for them in GD,
it shows me the list of mails but when I try to retrieve them, it is unable
to find them - presumably because it is looking in the earlier location (the
inbox file) rather than in the present location.

The workaround for this would be to get GD to regenerate its index.

Any pointers most appreciated.

thanks,
venksj
