I dont know much about the v.2, but are you familar with the original
tool tip adding, which added the attribute to the top most object in the
marker stack which has a mouse listener automatically associated with
it? Under that model you dont need to know the pixel location. You
should look at http://code.toeat.com/packages/gxmarker
