If your verification status changes from pending to verify, then it is
likely that we couldn't successfully process the verification.

There are a number of things you can check. For instance:

-that your verification file exists in the correct location and is
named correctly

-that your webserver is up and responding to requests when we attempt
the verification

-that your robots.txt file doesn't block our access to the file

-that your server doesn't return a status of 200 in the header of 404
pages

Once you've checked these things and made any needed changes, click
Verify again. Let us know if you continue to have trouble.
