This guy has a very nice way with showing many ways of doing all the

I started here first, by doing the basics:

beginning map with nothing on it:
http://www.google.com/apis/maps/documentation/#The_Basics , and I
learned how to change the coordinates and zoom. You need to get a key
from here for your website: http://www.google.com/apis/maps/signup.html

There are many people here who are very nice to help with your
questions, like John. I also look at how some people made their maps
and I even got a copy from a couple and tried to see what they did.
This guy helped me a lot, but it is php and very advanced for now.

Most of all, i began to learn php and MySQL with this good explanation:
