Yes, we know there are still issues with verification and we are
actively working to resolve them. The specific issue is that not all
verification requests are processed right away. We are working on a
resolution so that we process the requests as they are made and give
you immediate feedback about whether request was successful or not.
For most requests, this is already the case, but unfortunately, there
are currently some instances when it is not. When we are unable to
process the request right away, we add it to a queue and you see a
"pending" status. Once we process the request, you'll see the
resolution (either that the site was successfully verified or that
there was a problem and it couldn't be verified).
If the problem you're referring to when you say "those of us who cannot
get their site to verify" is what I describe above (that you see
"pending"), then we are working on it, and there's nothing else that
you can do on your side other than be patient. We know that is
frustrating and we are doing everything we can to get this resolved
quickly.
If you are referring to another problem with verification (for
instance, you get an error when you try to verify, or your status
changes from "pending" to "not verified"), then there is probably
action you can take in response to the particular error. If that's the
case, post the details of the error so I (or a groups member) can take
a look.
