Re: Mapping Fraud Exposed by NPR

Now that you mention it, it could well be a phone book listing,
however, in the context in which it was displayed (amongst other
businesses) it does seem to suggest that it could have been a business.

Found as the SECOND LINE of their Help pages - not difficult to find
>Yellowpages

Found quite easily on their Contact Us page

Found easily within the Contact Us/FAQ pages
> Navteq
http://update.navteq.com/
So easy, they have a whole domain registered for it

This was a little more difficult to find, but finding was no big
deal...and they even tell you who to contact about the mapping data,
and even better, they still have a Contact Us button if the answer does
not help.

Again, this is linked quite clearly from the top of the Help pages for
Yahoo Maps
So, I have now shown that the statement "The offenders do not offer a
url where a correction can be made" to be incorrect. Please make use of
any of the linksI have provided to tell these companies that your
address is appearing in the wrong location.
I hardly think that posting many different threads here is going to
help, and it certainly shows the culture we live in where the first
response is "Is there a class action about this?"
