Re: Please help me to solve this problem
When you register your API key, you are presented with the code for an
example page that uses your key.
I recommend capturing that page source with e.g. copy and paste. Place
this text in a page on your web server. It should work without any
modification. Now, all your web server needs to do is deliver that page
to the browser.
This will serve as an exemplar working page. You will find my version
of that page on my web site
(http://www3.telus.net/DougHenderson/Example0.html). I have made
modifications to it, but always with very thorough regression testing.
It proves to me that my ISP's web server is delivering pages as I
expect. This is even more important when you are running your own
server.
This page will serve as the starting point for analysing any server
related problems. It will confirm that your server is delivering pages
to the browser correctly. When you view source, the page you see should
be byte-for-byte identical to the page on your server, with absolutely
no additions or modifications. The map key should validate
successfully. If not, your key may not be generated with the same URL
that the browser sees. Or, you might be browsing with Internet Explorer
7beta, or another incompatible browser.
If, and only if, you can successfully view that initial page from your
server should you begin to create and modify your own pages.
When you examine this initial page, you will see that the API key
appears in the head of the page. You do not have to modify the web
server's configuration to add this key.
If you are using a templating system, you may need to place the API key
somewhere in the templating system's configuration so that it will
include the key in the head of every page it generates.
