What "self-hosted" guestmap to use now v2 will break others?

I'm still not 100% sure whether v2 will break everything, but I was
just about to use this:

But I can't take the risk that it won't be updated once API v2 comes
along.
The other alternative is a hosted map, but I'd rather do it myself, so
it doesn't end up like this:
