Re: Problems-And reasons for them
Google developed their accelerator on a number of potentially flawed
principals. First off, it requires multiple access for a single
transfer, because it uses what is called a "proxy server". This server
processes images you request via webpage loads, reduces their quality
and file size and sends them one.
---NOTE: there are flawless compressors
This is intended to improve real time page loads over a slow
connection, and may do so on very slow dial-up connections.
Sadly, this is an archaic and lumbering approach, and the net result is
minimal, particularly when it comes to broadband connections, where it
may actually slow the connection due to the additional steps. It also
depends heavily on how busy the proxy server is, and how well it
balances loads.
Note also that it does nothing to optimize IE or Per to Peer speeds,
such as Winmx. Note that IE will still only allow 2 downloads at a
time.
Google also missed on a few other areas, which we are guessing they
found out recently.
Note also that this proxy set up allows Google to log the data of every
website you visit while the accelerator is on. Note that I said they
are "able" to, not that they necessarily are. Any web server log will
do this.
----Your ISP can, and does---
Now, if you want to try an accelerator that works on any network, at
any connection speed that cannot log your activity, but does increase
download threads and makes broadband FLY try http://www.problaze.com
--yes this is a vio of TOS but see other posts, they are also VTOS---
There is also a free accelerator tester there that can be used to test
any accelerator.
