The only information it sends out are the identities of the images that
are required to display the map and the graphics that appear on the map.
So, for example, it would be possible to Google to track which image
tiles you fetch.
If you're using a non-IE browser, then polyline overlays are also images
that are fetched from a Google server, so Google could, if they wanted
to, track all the information about any polyline overlays that you draw
in Firefox, Mozilla, Netscape, Safari or Opera.
The API also writes cookies if you have cookies enabled. I don't think
they contain information about overlays and points, only info about
satellite imagery, but I'm not a cookie expert.
