Such refactoring is common in such young apis, and often for better
efficientsy. Making it lighter is probably a good thing and I don't
think the guys at Google are going against us. Offcourse this will
break a lot at first but nothing that can't be repaired. I beleive the
Google API should be minimal with well structured external add-on
libraries with all the extra's.

But on the otherhand communicating to us what their intensions are
might make us feel a bit less put aside, with all the energy we put
into all this we could actively participate or at least be informed and
not only be tapped on the back like well domesticated pets.

so let's tell how much we need to set up an active dialog
