Verify Over and Over and Over

Anyone else having this problem: I created the file to be verified,
click 'Verify',get the 'System busy...' message, check the next day and
am asked to click 'Verify' again. This scenario has been happening for
over a week now. No errors or any other messages, it's as if I have to
start all over each day.
Any thoughts?
