thanks for explainig how you select your points, indeed a nice
approach. i guess your code wont help because i want quite the
contrary, no random maps. i want maps to look similar every on each
access depending on the zoom level. so i need some ranking in my DB
anyhow it seems. but your concept could basically be part of that
anyway.

regarding the LoadXMLDoc(): i built it initially to get rid of another
problem: passing paramters form the initial call to the
ProcessReqChange function. i had this problem initially in SVG in order
to add stuff to specific layers (where i need to pass the layer ID).

i wasn't aware that it prevents from running in the problem you
initially described ;-)
