Select menu button does not call function

I have been using a select menu and an input button to create a filter
on my xml and java based maps, but a new version of the page based off
the blackpool code does not work. The error message is that the
function "is not defined", though I have checked and the function does
exist, and is spelled correctly.

I updated the code to increase the speed of the page, largely using
code from blackpool as I said. An older (and dangerously slow) version

Can anyone suggest ways to send the information from the select menu's
to the function that will work? Or I.D. why my change of code has
caused this?

How can I fix this?
